About Me

I lived in a community that thrived with creativity called Park Slope in Brooklyn, NY.

Someone was always creating something around me.  A seamstress, a musician, a clothes presser or a hairdresser somewhere.  I sat with everyone as a child in the area where the Brooklyn Public Library is located around the Eastern Parkway district as a child growing up.

It all started out as an after school activity in elementary school at the age of eight years old. I learned how to make many things using my hands along with friends.  People taught me how to crochet with yarn and weave plastic strips with different colors using the box and other stitches.  Other persons taught me how make jewelry out of copper wire.  I learned this with a couple of neighborhood children, how to bend soft metal into a spiral shape and make beautiful rings. I was inspired further at home when my mother threw a party selling beautiful copper ware to many of her friends.  In junior high I learned to sew, create, and mend.clothing for myself and friends.  Later on in life when I attended college, my interest at the time was Studio Arts and the Childhood program for teachers.  I enjoyed creating puppets and masks with yarn.  I love working with needle crafts using yarn, material, buttons, socks, sequins, etc.

This is what I do at Razzleberryandroses.  The materials I use are yarn, craft  needles and crochet needles.  Sometimes I use tools such as wires, scissors, beads and baubbles to create hats, baby clothes, skirts and dresses.  I love to do knit design.
